I am so excited to share my experience with getting my eyebrows micro bladed. I of course saw on social media that Brooke who works at Brows by G, the provencher Location here in Winnipeg. Brooke was needing some clients or models to help her learn how to micro blade. I’m not going to lie, I hummed and hawed about it because I saw how beautiful all my friends eyebrows were looking and I know I am a picky picky person but I decided why not give it a shot and I took the plunge.
These are my brows with not a single stitch of makeup or anything on my face or brows for that matter. As you can see my right brow is the more fuller brow, but still sparse and my left has no shape and is missing a lot of hair and very very sparse.
So first things first they take an outline and mark up your brows on how you want them shaped. This process is slightly longer just to ensure you love the shape and how you want it to look in the end.
So these are the markings we ended up with. They look extreme, but don’t be scared they will look good… trust me!
Now they proceed to wax away any hair that might be around your brows and then add little dots around the brows to create what they call is surgical markers to ensure that they do not pass it when micro-blading hair like strokes with pigment (the colour of the brow) to the brows. Once that is complete they put the numbing cream on with plastic over top so it doesn’t transfer onto your clothes. Which is awesome…btw! lol They leave you there with the numbing cream for roughly 20 minutes.
Now the micro-blading! I love that everything is sterile, Brooke showed me opening up the packages and told me everything she was doing, before she was doing it. Brooke was super courteous and always kind with asking me how I was feeling. And just talking me thru the whole process.
Not the most flattering angle but the messy process of micro-blading and the pigment, the colour of the brow hair. Thats why they advise you not to wear any makeup.
The end result! I couldn’t be happier!!! Look how full my brows look? WOW! Just amazed! So glad I took the plunge. I mean I didn’t have many hairs like you saw in my before pictures, especially with my left brow. If you want your brows micro-bladed just know that your times there will vary depending on the amount of hair strokes that they have to do. I honestly don’t remember the actual time of Brooke & Giovanna micro-blading but my time for the whole process was roughly 3 hours.
The aftercare! They provide an aftercare sheet for you and you can use this cream to help with the healing process for your brows. You can purchase this from them there or can go by it at shoppers drug mart. I opted to buy it from them since that is what they recommended. I also bought the Brows by G brow pencil to try. Once my brows healed up and I was able to use this brow pencil, I couldn’t have been happier to have purchased it. The Brows by G pencil is so good you will have to read more about it in my October Beauty Favourites found here.
These are my brows the day after! As you can see they look phenomenal! I coudnt’t be more happier and thankful to Brooke and Giovanna (owner) of Brows by G to have gotten my brows micro bladed. I honestly highly recommend getting them done. Even if you are unsure, go for a consultation to see if you want fuller brows. I know you will and if you do tell them I sent you!
I am also thankful that Giovanna, let me film this whole experience. You will see my video of my touch up as well which was 7 weeks after from the initial microblading experience. I forgot to take pictures of my touch up. So I hope you enjoy it!

Thank you again to Brooke and Giovanna! You both are wonderful and talented to say the least!
