Hey everyone! I recently had the opportunity to experience Fort Whyte Alive for the very first time! I swear being a Winnipegger, I honestly don't remember the last time or if I've ever been to Fort Whyte even as a child or on a school trip? But we are going to change that for sure! When we arrived to the location, you could just feel a very positive presence of calmness and peacefulness and just all around good vibes. I got to share this experience with Reanna - from the Blog Never See Come Sea, Vanessa - from the Blog The Trendy Files, Sarah - from the Blog Paper Dolls Sarah, Vilai - from the Blog Vilai Food Studio. As well as the amazing photographer April from Instagram www.instagram.com/peggrammer. (She took all the photos provided).
When we got inside the reception area, there is a little Nature gift shop that is absolutely stunning and the Buffalo Stone Cafe is just the cutest little eatery there. The most surprising thing that I learned was that Fort Whyte Alive is first off not far of a distance to get there from the city and secondly they are open all year long! There is actually so many different options of activities to do there with the whole family. They offer during the summer time, Canoeing, Paddling Biking, and an awesome Fmily Tree House as well as the Bison Butte Recreational Trail. For the winter time, they offer Winter Ice Skating rink, Cross Country ski Trails, and a Richardson Rrrun Toboggan Slide. Make sure you check out their website for all the details on where to find them and as well as any upcoming events.

When we got there, we had originally planned to go canoeing but the weather wasn't cooperating it was just too windy, but we go to experience the bike trails with the bikes you can actually rent there. So if you don't have a bike you can rent one there but if you have a bike you are more than welcome to bring your own. So most of the pictures taken are on the bikes trails and wow was it ever fun! I loved the feeling of just going around the trails and experiencing this huge lot. Another surprising fact of this place is that you can actually have a wedding there! How amazing for all the outdoors activities and events you can have at Fort Whyte Alive.
We cruised on our bikes down the trails to some awesome creeks, to where we went on a longer bike ride to seeing the awesome bison that were lounging around and we got to experience this awesome made Tree house! I truly felt like a kid again! I absolutely love what this place has to offer for family and friends.
I am really thankful that I got to experience this evening with my friends and I can't wait to take my family to this wonderful place.
Here are some of the wonderful pictures April was able to capture of this beautiful location.
Enjoy!
I have two daughters that I can definitely see enjoying their time here and even when they grow up a little bit older I can't wait to experience more with them thru their eyes.
Thank you so much to Reanna Khan for organizing this fun event and inviting me to tag along for some fun bike rides around Fort Whyte Alive and of course huge thank you to Fort Whyte Alive for allowing us and letting us enjoy the evening as kids again.
