Hey Everyone,
Christmas decorating is one of my absolute favourite things to do in this world!!!!!! I mean I love decorating in itself, when it comes to birthdays or just rearraging wall art or even just making the bed! I get this passion from my madre! aka MOM! She was always DIY-ing her house and always took something that wasn’t so sharp and spruced it up to make it look even more wonderful! She always had the holidays decorated, especially for every Christmas!
So once Christmas… well November 1st hits! I start bringing out all the decorations - well my husband does for me and I can’t wait to start seeing what I have from past seasons or what I get from after Christmas is over and everything that goes on sale! I love re-opening my christmas decor this year because last year I felt very overwhelmed with having a new born and healing and trying to get all the decor set up! This is the first year that I was able to decorate our home the way I wanted and with so much time! I didn’t feel rushed! And I am truly happy with how everything turned out!
While I know, this blog post is being shared a bit late! As you all have already decorated your place! It has taken me a while, because I went back to my full time 9-5 job and trying to coordinate pictures and blog writing is tough! But at least better late than never! I still wanted to share a few photos and details with you so you could see what I did … and guess what?? If you see some Christmas decor in here that you like I have posted similarities at the bottom of the page and more likely they are on sale now so get them while you can before they run out and be able to decorate your house for next year!!
I honestly don’t decorate much on the outside, I just love keeping my decor inside! A lot of the prodcuts are from local artisans from Winnipeg and most of the ornaments are from places like Bed Bath & Beyond, Canadian Tire, Home Sense, Winners, Marshalls, Indigo/Chapters and even from Hallmark. I like to have our big green tree in our basement and I had bought a small all white 4’ft tree for when I was pregnant with my first baby (freya). When it came to decorating our large Christmas tree this year, I knew I wanted gold and red! I love that those two colors to me, makes me believe its Christmas and it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside! lol as cheesy as it sounds! I think it turned out pretty good! I also for the white smaller tree, I love sticking with silver and white for everything I think it makes it look so much more elegant and classy to the eye!
And thats it! LOL These are the christmas decorations that I am in love with! There is plenty more, in the bathrooms and in the kitchen too! But this post would be 10 pages long! lol But I also wanted to mention quickly that Christmas is about what makes you happy! It’s not always about how many christmas decorations you have but its about the wonderful memories created with family and friends during this precious time! I post this for you to get inspiration for your home and to know that I’ve boughten most of this stuff over 8+ years now! So please just keep that in mind!!
Let me know in the comments down below what colour theme you went with and what is your christmas decor style!
XOXO,
Leslie
