I'm excited to share another new product with you all, PATCH Strip Bamboo Bandages!
My kiddos are always excited when they get to be involved with trying out the products I get sent, so we had a lot of fun trying them 'for fun' and taking some photos. If you didn't know, PATCH was created by James Dutton, the founder of Nutricare. When he noticed that regular bandages were causing a bad reaction on his son's skin, he knew he wanted to create a safer and more environmentally friendly alternative. In his research, he found that many bandages and wound care coverings are made with an array of harmful chemicals. Crazy, right?
If you're like me, you're probably wondering what they're made out of. They are actually made from 100% certified organic bamboo fibre. Bamboo is one of the fastest growing, renewable resources on the planet so these are way more environmentally friendly than your typical band-aid. They are also made with coconut oil, aloe vera and activated charcoal.
My favourite part is that because of the ingredients, they are much more gentle on the skin. When you remove the bandage, you don't get the red marks that you're used to seeing. Not only does it make me feel better using these on my kids, the girls also like it way better!
Using these bandages are really easy to use as well! They recommend using three simple steps:
1. Thoroughly clean the wound and pat area dry.
2. Select the appropriate sized bandage.
3. Remove protective seals (packaging) and apply PATCH, ensuring gauze is on direct contact with the wound.
You change the bandage daily and that's it!
I'm really happy that I found these bandages and I feel better as a mama knowing that I am using the safer option on my children.
Making the switch is easy!
PATCH can now be found on Amazon, Grove Collaborative, in Anthropologie locations and CVS locations nationwide as well as fine US grocery and natural living retailers and at patchstrips.com
